Mad Dog Spearfishing Club is a local, recreational Spearfishing club based on the Mornington Peninsula.

We warmly welcome all new comers and members to our lifestyle and sport.

Our club members are friendly and social, and we are a community based club. We encourage everyone to join their local spearfishing club and reap real benefits like lastest information on spearfishing,new products that hit the market,environmental issues, special guest speakers that can pass on an enormous amount of knowledge regarding spearfishing. The more members we have the better benefits for our club members!

Usually after a Spearfishing meet we will go for debrief and share our experiences on the day at a coffee shop.

It's about enjoying each other’s company and having a laugh.

As a club member you will have the opportunity to get to know local spearos and local suppliers of quality Spearfishing equipment. It doesn't stop there for our members, you will also have the opportunity to express your ideas, concerns and have a vital role in bringing about positive changes not only to our club but also to our unique sport and lifestyle.

Not only are you a club member but more importantly we try to instil that you be a good member of the community that respects others and our environment!

Spearfishing is a lifestyle! As spearos we respect and appreciate our unique environment. We use safe, selective, sustainable methods of Spearfishing.

Mad Dog Spearfishing Club encourages members to network with fellow members and members of our diverse community. Club members are from all different backgrounds.We have current members that are tradies, teachers, dive instructors, commercial divers, hardcore guys that just travel the country and spearfish overseas.

So you will have a excellent opportunity to create your own network of fellow Spearos etc.

Our club has a strong focus on training and education of fellow spearos and members of the community that frequent our marine environment.

Mad Dog Spearfishing Club encourages all members to undertake the necessary courses in snorkelling, Spearfishing, Free diving, first aid level 2 just to mention a few.

Mad Dog Spearfishing Club are members of the AUF, Australian Underwater Federation.

We recommend you undertake your training with Apnea Australia; the staff are professional, qualified instructors and know what they are talking about.

We recommend you seek local knowledge on the area you are going to Spearfishing, snorkelling, free diving.

Our members are encouraged to use a dive float with flag, whistle, mirror and most important a dive buddy for safety.

Our members can use the online forum where you can exchange photos, recipes and stories of how the big one got away, product reviews on Spearfishing equipment and it's a excellent way of meeting new friends.

Mad Dog Spearfishing Club posts all our announcements on our online forum!

We also use the facilities at Harbour Dive in Mornington, and Diveline in Frankston, depending on how many members are going to attend.
